Modular-E

INESC TEC’s Modular Robots are autonomous, versatile machines designed for agricultural and silvicultural tasks. These robots are compatible with various trailers and tools for diverse operations. Modular E is specialised for permanent crops and features tools for mowing, both in and between rows. It can autonomously perform precise fertilisation, phenotyping using a robotic arm, and precision optical and hyperspectral sensing. A tool for fruit harvesting is currently under development. Modular X, a larger version, is designed for more challenging, irregular terrains, such as forests. It is equipped with a trailer for transporting heavy loads and a robotic arm for selecting and cutting eucalyptus branches. These robots offer flexibility, precision, and efficiency, revolutionising agricultural and forestry tasks with automation.
